Between February 15 to 18, the Kurdish American Group (KAG) delegation conducted a
Diplomatic visit to Washington, DC with the aim of enhancing relationships with like-minded organizations and individuals dedicated to serving communities and promoting peace and unity amongst diverse groups. The delegation received a positive and welcoming reception from members of the community, indicating a shared commitment to exploring opportunities for collaboration with influential figures, including the Voice of America (VOA) Kurdish editor and journalist Jani Diylan, as well as several American academics and supporters of the Kurdish cause affiliated with nonprofit organizations in New York.
On February 15, KAG participated in a peaceful rally in front of the White House against the unlawful imprisonment of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, demanding his release.
Additionally, the KAG delegation visited the Syrian Democratic Confederation Bureau to introduce the organization, receiving a warm welcome from officials including Sinam Sherkany Mohamad, Chief of Mission at the US Mission of the Syrian Democratic Council, along with members of the Presidential Council, Bassam Saker and Clara Moore.
The delegation was pleased with the outcome of the successful diplomatic visit and is preparing to continue such visits in the future to strengthen relations and achieve the goals of the organization through collaborative efforts and joint cooperation, further promoting unity, knowledge, education, and professional and peaceful relationships within society.
